Choose the plan that fits the bill
The Equal Payment Plan uses the average annual bill divided into twelve monthly payments. Without a full year of account history, the city uses an estimate based on established averages.
Year-end balancing occurs in October or November depending on the route category. Equal monthly payments are not a promise that actual annual use will match the estimate.

Quarterly automatic withdrawal
Auto-Debit takes the full balance on each utility bill’s due date, approximately every three months. You continue to receive the bill, which shows the amount to be withdrawn.
To join either plan, send the PAWS authorization form with a blank cheque marked VOID. You can join during the year rather than only at a January start.

Failed payments, moving and cancellation
The chosen plan continues until cancelled. A returned payment has a $25 fee; two consecutive NSF returns cancel PAWS participation.
Notify Finance when selling. Ask the lawyer or notary to account for prepayments on the sale adjustment statement because the city does not issue refunds. A new property needs a new form and void cheque.
