Different concerns need different responses
For a dog attack in progress after normal hours, FVRD directs residents to local police. The BC SPCA helpline, 1-855-622-7722, handles animals in distress or cruelty concerns.
Animal Control does not respond to nuisance wildlife or wildlife living inside homes. FVRD directs those issues to local humane wildlife-control services.

Complaint privacy and records
FVRD says it protects a complainant’s identity under privacy law. If a case reaches court and law requires disclosure, that information may need to be released. It is not an absolute secrecy promise.
The CARE Centre shelters dogs in regional care and supports adoption. Keep licence contact records current so a found dog can be connected with its owner.
