Two systems with different jobs
MyCity starts the application and lets you track permits. ProjectDox handles drawings, documents, mark-ups and plan review. First-time applicants register for both as required by the invitation emails.
The city accepts digital applications across construction types, including homes, additions, accessory/agricultural buildings, Part 3 buildings, tenant improvements, demolition, utility connections and signs. Hard-copy submissions remain accepted.

Upload and submit correctly
After creating the MyCity application, watch the applicant email for a ProjectDox task. Accept the Upload and Submit task before adding files. Put plans under Upload Drawings and other documents under Upload Documents.
Use the city PDF-formatting and naming guide. Saving for later does not submit the completed task. Press Submit after all required files are uploaded.

Completeness is not approval
Pre-screen checks missing items, not code compliance. A ProjectDox request for additional information may lead to cancellation if unanswered for five to seven business days.
Accepted applications get an application date and join the review queue. A representative needs the owner’s authorization. Demolition needs the hazardous-risk assessment verification; the city says it does not require or accept asbestos-abatement reports.
